JAMIE Oliver has called on Farnham MP and Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt to ban the sale of energy drinks to children.

In a video posted on Instagram the celebrity chef urged people to tweet Mr Hunt in support of the ban using the hashtag #notforchildren.

He voiced his concern at the “normalisation of energy drinks with kids” and stated that many were at risk of addiction.

Though the packaging of many of the products states they are not suitable for children, the chef wants the government to impose age restrictions on sales of the drinks to under 16s.
