A LISS family feel let down after a much-loved apple tree was chopped down at the Riverside Railway Walk allotments.

Darren and Keren Burney, and their daughter Natasha, six, of Western Road, wrote to the parish council to complain after the tree was chopped down, saying they had "loved, cherished, and used this apple tree for some years".
