FOWL play is suspected after half a dozen chickens were found abandoned in Old Park Lane last week.

Resident Debbie Ricketts took to Facebook to report the discovery and is appealing for the chickens’ original or any prospective owners to get in touch.

She posted on the Farnham Rants page: “We found these six chickens loose this evening in Old Park Lane, it looks like someone may have dumped them as there were a lot of shavings on the side of the lane?

“We have asked in the lane area, but they do not seemed to have come from this area.

“Sadly we cannot keep them, just asking whether any chicken lovers out there would like to take them off our hands - or of course if you are the original owner and would like them back?”
