BACK by popular demand on Saturday, May 18, is Chiddfest – the biennial family-friendly music festival.
Chiddfest celebrates its third appearance at Coxcombe recreation ground in Chiddingfold, with the offer of early-bird reduced price tickets on sale until the end of March at chiddfest.com and Treacle’s cafe, Robert Stores and Chiddingfold post office.
Festivalgoers will enjoy live music on stage spanning a range of genres. Also on offer will be all kinds of food and lots of activities for children from toddlers upwards.
Event organiser Carrie White said: “After the success of our two previous festivals – and in response to much public demand – Chiddfest is back for May 2019.
“We are hoping to build on the success of past years and have already had an overwhelmingly positive response from local talent and businesses, so we expect this to be a fantastic event.
“By offering the early-bird discount we hope to make Chiddfest as accessible as possible to all families.”
Chiddfest 2019 is organised by the PTA of St Mary’s Primary School, with money raised primarily going to the school as well as other youth groups and charities in the village.
In 2017, more than £23,000 was raised, which funded some vital resources, including interactive white boards for each classroom and a new sound system for the school hall.
Youth groups that will also benefit from money raised at Chiddfest 2019 include Chiddingfold Village Nursery, cubs, scouts, the youth club, Chiddingfold Youth Football, Chiddingfold Youth Cricket Club and Messy Church.
The fun starts at Coxcombe reacreation ground at 12.30pm and continues until 8pm. Advance family tickets are £5 cheaper.
