DEDICATED volunteer Christine Smalley has been using her knitting talents to make children’s activities at the Fernhurst Centre even more fun by creating flocks of woollen sheep and chicks for the two latest treasure trails.

Fernhurst Centre also has a regular Tuesday morning drop-in knitting group from 10am to midday.

Pauline Colcutt, the centre’s volunteer manager, said: “I couldn’t manage without all the volunteers who help week in, week out.”

Fernhurst Centre has been selected for the Tesco Bags of Help scheme during May and June.

Supporters can cast their vote using the blue token every time they shop at the Tesco store in Haslemere or Midhurst.

The centre will use any grant received from Tesco Bags of Help to upgrade its IT and teaching equipment.
