CHILDREN living in the fallout of a nuclear disaster could be denied a life-changing trip to Petersfield because of red tape.
The Chernobyl Children's Life Line has brought more than 200 children over from Ukraine and Belarus to East Hampshire over the last two decades.
But dozens more could miss out as the Government is planning to axe a visa scheme that allowed the youngsters to enter the UK for free.
The charity will have to pay an extra £86 per child if the changes by the Foreign and Commonweath Office come into force next March.
And that could be too much for local members, who spent £4,000 on bringing 10 Ukrainian children to Petersfield last October.
