THE Welsh are renowned the world over for their love of singing so it was totally fitting that a choir should perform at the Haslemere Mayor's annual Civic Reception.

Mayors and mayoresses from across Surrey and East Hampshire joined together to shower Haslemere's civic leader with praise when they came together at Haslemere Hall.

Guests enjoyed performances by Haslemere Musical Society and Haslemere Rock Choir (pictured) as well as some live art by Haslemere Art Society's honorary president Roger Dellar.
