HART Male Voice Choir will be joined by special guests RAF Odiham Military Wives Choir for a special concert this month.

Saturday, October 22, will see the two groups team up at a charity concert in aid of the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice.

Military Wives Choirs were formed in 2012 with the aim of providing military families with support and a voice, now singing for charities including SSAFA which provides welfare to military families for life. The MWC pride themselves for their community support, which includes providing musical therapy in local care homes and hospices.

Songs that will be featured on the evening will include Amazing Grace and Skyfall from the Odiham Military Wives group and a number of Hart Male Voice Choir staples to keep those in attendance entertained from start to finish.

The concert will be held at the impressive new 300-seater public performance hall of St John’s Church, Fleet Road, Hartley Wintney.

Songs from old and new will fill the venue, with David Bowden-Smith of the Hart Male Voice Choir adding: “We have previously filled other halls for our Phyllis Tuckwell concerts especially when we combine a concert programme with the Odiham Military Wives choir.

“However this will be our first visit to the impressive St John’s Church to which we eagerly look forward to.”

Tickets sponsored by AW Goddard – Funeral Directors of Fleet, are available from the Fleet Phyllis Tuckwell Shop, Fleet Road, on-line via the website www.pth.org.uk or from the Organically Speaking shop in Hartley Wintney High Street which can be reached by calling 01252 845577.
