The town’s oldest choral society, conducted by Wendy Busby, members delighted their audience in particular with a fine performance of Sunrise, Sunset from Fiddler on the Roof.
Always keen to welcome new singers of all ages and voice types, the ACS repertoire is both broad and adventurous, from sacred and secular, to Renaissance and contemporary.
Concerts range from great choral works to exciting a cappella. Meeting on Wednesday evenings, from September 13,at the Salvation Army Hall, on the corner of Amery Street and Market Street, after their success at the Proms the choir will be rehearsing for their Autumn Concert.
To take place on Saturday, October 28, starting 4pm at St Lawrence Church, Alton, the concert will feature Faure’s Requiem and a medley from Les Miserables.
