New Christmas lights in Petersfield could make this year's annual festive display brighter than ever.
Plans to trial hi-tech phosphorous lights are being made by the display's new co-ordinator.
And if all goes well they could put Petersfield in the spotlight, as the town will be one of the first in the country to use them.
Following from the great success of last year's Christmas lights, Sal Cardu has passed the mantle on to William Hamilton of 4 Season Gardens, who is planning to take the display to brighter and greater heights.

Concern at disappearance of white-tailed eagle as tracker found near PetersfieldWill is already in negotiation with a company that supplies electro luminescent technology to take Petersfield's Christmas lights firmly into the 21st century.
Mr Hamilton told The Herald: "While last year was obviously a great success, I felt that the lights where beginning to look tired, and Sal's efforts with the canopy lights over the Square were the way forward. These new hi-tech phosphorous lights will increase the overall style, which I hope to eventually roll out all over the town".
Mr Cardu added: "I think William has some great ideas for the Christmas lights and I am really excited about these new lights. I am heartened at the continued tradition of civic duty amongst some volunteers in this town. William will need even more people this year, as he intends to make a bigger impact. I hope the local residents and businesses will support William by offering their help or donating money".
"The Christmas lights big bash this year will be on Friday, November 26, and will be even bigger and better than last year," added Mr Hamilton.
