FARNHAM’S Christmas lights will be illuminated on Saturday, November 21, and, from 1pm, Gostrey Meadow will be filled with the sights and sounds of Christmas.
Schoolchildren, local theatre groups, bands and dance companies will entertain with festive music and dance, singing, traditional carols and Christmas performances. Children will be able to have their faces painted, enjoy a fairground ride or visit Santa in his grotto.
There will be a variety of side-stalls selling food, drink and gifts. Cast members from the Princes Hall’s production of Cinderella and the Harlington Centre’s performance of Aladdin will mingle with the crowd.
The lights will be switched on at 4.30pm by the Mayor of Farnham, Pat Frost, and the cast of Aladdin. After the switch-on, there will be more live music and entertainment until 6pm.
