THE doors of St Peter’s Church in Wrecclesham are closed temporarily as a long-awaited restoration and development project gets under way.

Over the next six months new heating, lighting and audio-visual systems will be installed, together with a new entrance to the church and easy access for wheelchairs and pushchairs. The church has already raised significant amounts but fundraising continues so that the full project can be completed.

Church services will be held at St Peter’s School, in Wrecclesham and in the Leverton Hall behind the church. The Leverton Hall will remain open for the usual range of activities throughout the church restoration work.
