ST George’s Church in Badshot Lea will hold a quiz night on Saturday, May 7, to raise much-needed funds for the parish.

Last year’s event was hailed a “huge success” by organisers after more than a hundred people took the op­portunity to test their wits.

Tickets for this year’s quiz cost £6 per person, and participants are welcome to bring their own drinks, glasses and nibbles.

Reverend Lesley Crawley said: “Last year it was so popular that we almost ran out of chairs – people just kept arriving!

“There was a great community atmosphere and the teenagers loved it, the elderly loved it and everyone in between.

“It isn’t often that we have an event that genuinely appeals to people of all ages. Please do come along if you can.”

One of the organisers, Carrie Grafham, added: “We would be delighted to see you. Make a team of up to eight and book a table or book a space and make a team on the night.”
