Len Hutty of Frimley rode his 1960s Matchless to overall victory in the annual Talmag Trial for classic machines at Hungry Hill last month. On Sunday, he contested a North Hants Club trial on Hungry Hill, and again he was the overall winner, this time clinching expert class victory aboard his modern two-stroke Gas Gas.

Also riding well on the Aldershot course was 60-year-old Tony O'Loughlin of Arford. He was best in the O/40s class, in which Farnham's Jim Scott was runner-up. Kingsley's David Hickman, 17, was victorious in the novice class.

There was also a Gosport Club trial at Froxfield on Sunday. Here, Mike Bolton of East Tisted finished second in the expert class. Fernhurst's Ken Bargery clinched third in the O/40s 'B' class, while Don Schiel of Whitehill won the O/40s 'C' class.

Nick Watts, Douglas Coles and Graham Flux (all from Petersfield) were the top three novice 'B' riders and nine-year-old Alan Ayres of Bordon won the youth 'C' class.

Kyle Cross (Greatham), Carol Chaplin (Petersfield) and Daniel Powell (West Meon) took the top three 'D' routed youth 'B' placings and Tara Cross was runner-up in the 'D' class.
