FANS of classic rock will get an early Christmas present next week as covers band is going back to school.

Mark Thompson-Smith and The Leather & Lace Rock Show will return to the Studio at The Petersfield school next Friday evening, December 8.

Expect a crowd-pleasing set of rock and anthems and power ballads from the 70s, 80s and 90s with classics from Journey, Bon Jovi, Heart, Queen, Boston and more.

“We had such a great time at The Studio last year so it’s great to be back to kick off everyone’s pre-Christmas nights out in fine style,” said the group’s former Praying Mantis frontman and Ready to Rock School owner, Thompson-Smith.

“It really is an excellent ‘up close and personal’ venue to perform in and it gives us a chance to play some of the rock classics that we weren’t able to play on our UK tour earlier this year."

There’s a further Christmas treat in the return of female vocalist Tanyth Roberts, fresh from her impressive turn out with Steve Steinman’s Vampire Rocks show.

Planet Rock’s Ian Danter is also with the band and can’t ready to belt out classics from the likes of Aerosmith and Van Halen.

Doors to The Leather & Lace Show open at 7pm with the music starting at 8pm, more details and tickets from www.thestudiotps.com
