CLEARING at the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) has opened in anticipation of A-level results day on Thursday, August 13, and the university’s admissions team is now accepting enquiries and offering places for this September.
For those that have received results, taken a gap year, or want to switch to a creative degree, UCA’s advisors will be on hand to provide guidance and offer places on UCA’s courses.
Sarah Simms, head of admissions at UCA, said: “Contrary to popular belief, clearing actually starts much earlier than A-level results day. We’re offering places to talented and creative individuals who haven’t yet got a place at university and have already received their exam results.
“By calling early, we can help take the stress out of finding a course at university and let you know your options as soon as possible, whatever your results.
“Even if you haven’t applied for a university course through UCAS or you don’t receive the results you were expecting, we have options like pre-degree or four year courses that mean you can still enrol in 2015. So don’t worry; there are other options!
“For instance, UCA’s four year courses are an extended degree course beginning with a tailored foundation stage. Providing students with an opportunity to reinforce fundamental skills required for industry, the four-year courses have lower entry requirements than three year degrees.”
