THE threat of demolition hanging over The Cricketers pub in Lower Bourne appears to have moved a step closer, with the closure and boarding up of the premises last week.
The warning given by the Morland brewery two years ago, that the area could not support two pubs and either The Fox or The Cricketers would be closed, has finally been put into practice.
