TOM Carpenter's chin has finally seen the light of day – after he spent the last 10 months growing a beard in memory of his close friend Nick Plumb.

The 27-year-old, who lives in Sheep Street, Petersfield, had a ritual shave on Sunday at a celebration memorial gathering with friends to mark the first anniversary since Nick, 26, died in an accident while on a stag party in Bristol.
