SCIENCE students were given the chance to consider their future studies and careers on a trip to the University of Reading’s laboratories.
Alton College science students visited the university for a specialist Alternatives to Medicine day at the beginning of the autumn term.
The specialist day gave students the chance to learn more about the life science subjects at degree level and they were able to choose two out of four possible workshops in which to participate.
The college students also met the university staff and students, took a tour of the campus, and attended a ‘careers carousel’ where they met professionals who worked in the field of life science subjects.
