MEMBERS of Farnham Boxing Club which was only established in 2015, fought ferociously and did the club proud as they entered their first competition at York Hall in Bethnal Green, London.

Unfortunately they didn’t have any victories this time round but the boys gained valuable experience and will be back out in the new year. The club has only been open since April, run by trainers Rikke Askew and Ryan French, who were delighted to be able to put so many talented boxers out already.

Some have only been with the club a few months but the coaches highlighted that their dedication and determination is “fantastic”. The members come from all walks of life and range from students to office workers to decorators but none of that matters when they are in the ring.

Their new competition kit is a result of a donation given to the club by the Round Table.

The team would like to wish everyone a happy new year and encourage anyone looking to get fit, lose weight or learn a new skill to visit their website www.farnham

They would also like to say a thank you for the support by the Round Table and their many other supporters who have helped throughout the year.
