A CHARITY golf day will be held at Blacknest Golf Club to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support on Saturday, July 5. The event, held at the golf club in Blacknest, will include 18 holes, putting competitions and a chance to "beat the pro". The top scoring team will win a weekend golfing break for four in Devon. At the event organised by Rachel Clark, non-golfers will be able to enjoy the gym, as well as the clubhouse and bar, and the day will end with a barbecue and disco. Gemma Hodgkiss, fundraising assistant for Mac- millan, said: "The Blacknest Charity Golf Day promises to be a superb event for golfers and their families. "Every day 780 people in the UK are told they have cancer and Macmillan wants to be there for every one of them, as well as for their families and friends. By swinging into action and joining Rachel at Blacknest Golf Club, you will put Macmillan on course to reach this ambition."
