SEVENTY two members of the Hale Darby and Joan Club enjoyed their annual Christmas party at Hale Village Hall.

The hall was beautifully decorated and members were entertained by The Condors who played 50s and 60s hits, interspersed with carols and festive music.

A dinner of sandwiches and cakes washed down with sherry was provided by the committee and everyone was given a present to take home with them.

This year the club has been funded by a generous donation from the Community Foundation for Surrey Pargiter Trust Fund and this has ensured that every member who so wished was able to go on three coach trips and enjoy meetings and parties throughout the year.
