FARNHAM Lions has awarded Weyfest tickets and vouchers worth more than £300 to the Badshot Lea Working Men’s Club as reward for its support for this year’s Easter Eggstravaganza appeal.
It is the second year in a row the club has won the accolade for the most money raised for the Lions’ appeal, which challenges people at local pubs, clubs hotels, hospitals and more to guess the name of a fluffy lion in exchange for a £1 donation and the chance to win said lion and a giant chocolate Easter egg.
This year’s Eggstravaganza amassed £4,000 for The Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance, and the Lions thanked all those who supported the appeal, as well as Richie Ellmer of Weyfest for donating the prizes.
