POLICE have seized cocaine with an estimated street value of £100,000 in Petersfield.

A car was stopped in the town on Wednesday and cocaine was found in the vehicle.

Following a search of an address in Petersfield, a further amount of the class A drug was recovered.

James Lawrence, 30, of Stakes Road, Waterlooville, has been charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine. He appeared before Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court today (Friday) and was remanded in prison.

He is due to appear before Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court again on January 3.
