A TEACHER from Godalming College and father of two was involved in a fatal motorcycle accident last Tuesday. Christopher Albert Bishop, 56, from Chiddingfold was riding along Portsmouth Road from Milford, heading towards Godalming on a red motorcycle. Just before the junction with Eashing Lane he was thrown from his vehicle. Mr Bishop was taken to the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford where he was later pronounced dead. A senior manager and maths teacher at Godalming College for 31 years, Mr Bishop was well-respected a by staff and pupils. Mr Bishop's wife Sue, daughter Helen and son Tom thanked all the people who helped out at the roadside, including police officers, ambulance staff and members of the public. An inquest into Mr Bishop's death was opened last Thursday and adjourned. Police are appealing for witnesses who saw the collision.
