AN epic five-hour 'Combathon' at Nuffield Health, Fitness and Wellbeing Centre in Farnham has raised £650 for injured service personnel charity Help for Heroes.

Around 40 members and instructors of the Weybourne Lane gym took part in the lung-busting event, which saw five high-energy body combat classes run back to back.

More than 10 people completed the full five-hour stint, with each 45-minute class separated by just a 15-minute break in which Nuffield provided free food and drink.

Lauren Mitchell, sales and marketing manager at Nuffield Farnham, said: "The Combathon was absolutely brilliant and lots of energy was displayed over the five hours.

"Help for Heroes is a charity close to the hearts of many of our members with relatives in the armed forces, and all proceeds from the event will be donated to the charity."
