ONE of the unsung but hard-working voluntary committees which gives much time year-in and year-out for the benefit of Farnham and its residents is the planning committee of the Farnham Society.

Under the chairmanship of Peter Bridgeman it held a lunch at the Loch Fyne restaurant in Farnham.

Present were: Planning committee chairman Peter Bridgeman, Farnham Society chairman Alan Gavaghan, councillors Andy MacLeod and Carole Cockburn, members Tim Cox, Cliff Watts, David Beaman, David Howell, Zofia Lovell, Michael Blower and Farnham Society president Sir Ray Tindle.

Peter Bridgeman was congratulated on an excellent year of watching over with his committee all the planning applications relevant to Farnham and its residents.

Alan Gavaghan and Sir Ray both expressed their thanks to all present for their efforts during 2015.
