Residents are being invited to join the Bloomin’ Litter Pick on Saturday, November 8, from 10am to noon to help tidy Farnham ahead of Remembrance Sunday.

Volunteers will meet at Farnham Town Hall in South Street before setting off to spruce up the town centre ahead of Sunday’s parade and service in Gostrey Meadow. All equipment will be provided, participants just need to bring their enthusiasm and community spirit.

Afterwards, helpers can enjoy refreshments and cake as a thank-you for their efforts to keep Farnham clean and welcoming.

Cllr Mat Brown, lead member for environment, said: “The Bloomin’ Litter Pick is a simple but powerful way for local people to make a difference. It’s about taking pride in our town, meeting new people, and working together to keep Farnham looking its best.”

The event is part of the Farnham in Bloom initiative, which promotes year-round community participation and environmental care.

Volunteers can register by emailing [email protected] and are also encouraged to help tidy around the war memorials in Hale, Rowledge, Badshot Lea, the Bourne and Wrecclesham.
