The annual Alton FlavourFest free food and drink festival will be held in the Public Gardens on September 7 from 11am to 4pm.

There will be more than 60 food and drink stalls, street eats, cookery demonstrations, cocktail, cider and real ale bars, family-friendly fun and live music in the bandstand.

Flavours from around the world will include Spanish paella, Thai treats, Greek delights and a South African barbecue. Drinks will include cocktails, West Country cider, Hampshire ales and local liqueurs.

Organiser Jenny Atherton, co-ordinating the event with local volunteers, said: “FlavourFest is a fantastic celebration of food and drink.

“It’s a chance for the community to come together and enjoy a brilliant day out, while giving local producers the opportunity to showcase their incredible creations to visitors.”
