Community garden charity Space2grow has won the popular Fifty for Fawkes Guy competition at the annual Farnham Fireworks and Torchlit Procession organised by Farnham Round Table.

The winning Guy was a team effort, with the base built by the Men in Sheds group at Space2grow and the figure decorated by students from Weydon School.

The students attend weekly sessions at the garden as part of an alternative education programme supporting young people who struggle with emotionally based school non-attendance.

Made from natural materials gathered on site and perched on a barrel of “Space2grow gunpowder”, the Guy was a fitting celebration of community spirit and creativity.
