The company behind Foxes of Farnham has entered liquidation following the closure of the bar earlier this year

Foxes of Farnham, a cocktail bar on Downing Street, suddenly announced it would be stopping trading in July 2026.

A spokesperson for the bar said: “It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Foxes of Farnham has now permanently closed. This wasn’t an easy decision, but unfortunately it became impossible for the business to continue.”

“Although this chapter has come to an end, we’re so proud of what Foxes became and the community that grew around it.”

It can now be revealed the company behind Foxes of Farnham has entered creditors' liquidation after being unable to continue its business because of its liabilities.

D2L Ltd, which trades as Foxes of Farnham and is registered as a public houses and bars business, was placed into creditors' liquidation on September 22.

The company, which has its principal trading address at 8 Downing Street, Farnham, has appointed Peter Nicholas Wastell and William Turner of Verulam Advisory as joint liquidators. The appointment was made by creditors and members.

A formal notice stated: "The Company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the Company be wound up voluntarily and that Peter Nicholas Wastell and William Turner be appointed as Joint Liquidators for the purposes of such voluntary winding up."

The joint liquidators will now deal with the company's affairs as part of the liquidation process.
