ALTON Town Council is to register concern over a change to out-of-hours GP services which will mean that instead of travelling to Chase Hospital in Bordon, Alton patients will have to go to North Hampshire Hospital at Basingstoke.

The change of service, which will affect patients in four local GP practices – Alton Health Centre, Chawton Park Surgery, Boundaries Surgery at Four Marks and Bentley Village Surgery – will see a change of provision from Thamesdoc to Hantsdoc, the GP co-operative that has been operating in the Basingstoke area since 2004/5.
