WAVERLEY Borough Council has come under fire for failing to register councillors' strong objections to a potentially "lethal" 60-bed care home and 16 homes with direct access onto one of Farnham's busiest roundabouts.
Land to the rear of the Grade II Listed Bourne Mill has for years been cited as one of the key development sites in Farnham, together with the Brightwells East Street scheme and Farnham Police Station.
But after Waverley planners failed to bring the latest application to committee within the 13-week time frame, Bourne Mill owner Glyn Evans was allowed to successfully appeal against the council's non-determination.
