BADSHOT Lea residents who fear their village could be swamped with more than 900 new homes once Waverley's core strategy is approved have had their first taste of the plans that may emerge.
An outline planning application including 19 houses, 16 flats and 10 student residences has been submitted to Waverley Council for the Little Acres Nursery and Poppies Restaurant site off St Georges Road.
Waverley Council say the application was sent back earlier this month as "invalid", but its emergence formed a talking point at the annual meeting of the Badshot Lea Community Association.
