WAVERLEY Abbey headteacher Tom Melling, who was last month convicted of indecently assaulting an 11-year old Buckinghamshire schoolgirl, has resigned from the Tilford middle school.
Mr Melling (49) who is due to be sentenced today (Friday) tendered his resignation, accepted by school governors, during the last week.
