AN East Hampshire District Council scheme to help residents improve the energy-efficiency of their homes has been extended.

The project originally due to end in August will now run until next March and financially supports residents installing energy-saving home improvements – as well as offering helpful guidance.

Through the Cosy East Hampshire scheme, people in rented properties and homeowners can receive 50 per cent cashback on the installation of solid wall insulation and 25 per cent cashback on a range of other measures, including a new boiler, insulation and double glazing.

Cash back of £5,000 is also on offer for park home owners who sign up to install external wall insulation.

Those in receipt of certain benefits may also now be eligible for 100 per cent cashback for measures they install.
