A ROW of eight two and three-bedroom cottages could occupy the site currently in the throes of being vacated by Haslemere Ambulance Station on the Grayswood Road.
The plot of just over a third of an acre was sold last year for a figure reputed to be in the region of three-quarters of a million pounds.
It is expected to be vacated by the ambulance station by the end of the month when it relocates to its new site within the grounds of Haslemere Hospital.
Now developer Pheonix Land Developments has submitted a planning application for the eight homes with car parking for 12 cars. Plans include proposals for a single entrance, close to the boundary of existing cottages on Grayswood Road to a courtyard-style parking area with covered car parking.
The proposed development includes a conservatory on each house and back garden of around seven metres in length. The plans meet the maximum in the requirements of Waverley Borough Council's replacement local plan which is based on government guidance of 30 to 50 homes per hectare.
The full planning application is set to be discussed by members of Haslemere Town Council later this month.
