FARNHAM Town Council has taken steps to tackle the scourge of dog fouling in the town’s cemeteries.

At a recent meeting of the full council, councillors gave the town clerk consent to approach Waverley Borough Council’s new dog control enforcement contractors to provide an enforcement service on town council land, “where needed”.

This, added a report to council, is “in view of the continuing problems of dog owners allowing dogs to foul the cemeteries”.

Members were also informed that a new CCTV camera has been installed at Victoria Garden following a wave of vandalism.
