AN alleged fraudster charged with duping Waverley Borough Council out of thousands of pounds of taxpayers’ money has had his case committed to crown court.
Matthew Lowe, 30, who is already serving time in prison for an offence which cannot be disclosed for legal reasons, appeared before Sandwell Magistrates Court last Thursday, on two counts of fraud by false representation.
Magistrates referred the case to Wolverhampton Crown Court. Mr Lowe’s hearing is set to take place on Thursday, March 24, and he was released on unconditional bail.
