PETERSFIELD Town Council knows a bargain when it sees one after snapping up two red BT telephone boxes for just £1 each.

It has adopted the iconic landmarks in College Street and Cranford Road to save them being removed by BT as part of its ongoing scheme to remove redundant phone boxes.
