THE average Band D council tax payer in Waverley borough can expect to pay an extra £36.80 for council and police services in the coming year.

Waverley Borough Council, which collects the tax for all the authorities, will put the seal next Tuesday on a below-inflation 2.5 per cent overall increase, with all authorities concerned demanding a lower rise than last year.
