DEVELOPERS proposing to add extra rooms to homes being built at the former ambulance station may be asked for a bigger cash contribution.

A planning application for permission to use the roof space at two of the eight homes being built on the Grayswood Road site came before Haslemere town councillors last week.

At the meeting of the planning and highways committee, no objections were raised to the application but Peter Isherwood recommended that because the proposal could increase the value of the homes, the contribution made by Phoenix Land Development should be increased.

The committee agreed with Mr Isherwood and it was recommended that the finance and general purposes committee should write to Waverley Borough Council asking them to ask for the contribution to be raised.
