The Waverley councillor for Farnham Bourne ward has resigned, citing his dislike for the way the council is run as one of the main reasons for his departure.

Conservative Malcolm Walton, (62), told The Herald that despite the fact that he wishes to work less, he is also leaving because of the increasing disillusionment he feels with council dogma and what he sees as a lack of any meaningful debate.
