HAMPSHIRE police came under fire at a public meeting last week from three Greatham residents - two of them parish councillors - for allegedly "doing nothing" in response to reports of sexual harassment, intimidation and arson.

At last Tuesday's East Hampshire District Council Forum, at Bordon's Forest Community Centre, parish councillors Don Jerrard and Jock Trodden and resident Jacqueline Gillies received an apology from the constabulary's Assistant Chief Constable Laura Nicholson after they had made their complaints.

Asst Chief Con Nicholson said: "I am sorry we let you down, but we will be working to get it right from now on."
