DESPITE having the lowest allowance of any borough councillors in the South East, Waverley members are to forego a 6.2 per cent increase that has been recommended by an independent panel.
In view of the current fianncial climate, their increase will instead be in line with the pay award for council staff at least until the next review in 2011.
