FARNHAM town councillors have given full backing to the bid to halt control of public open spaces being handed to East Street developer Crest Nicholson Sainsbury's.

A strongly-worded holding objection lodged earlier this month has been endorsed by the full council.

And Waverley Borough Council will be informed of the town council's annoyance about being kept in the dark and not afforded the courtesy of being properly consulted.
