THERE are only a few weeks to go before visitors can see Gilbert White's garden, in Selborne, in all its May glory - including the breathtaking sight of tulips in The Wakes Garden.
Unusual varieties of tulips, in terracotta pots, line the brick path to the garden beyond the shop door, and featured are the striped and mottled varieties similar to the "broken" tulips of naturalist Gilbert White's time.
