PETERSFIELD'S jubilee celebrations could leave a man financially drained after missing out on a crucial fundraising bid.
The party could be over for Vaughan Clarke after the Arts Council turned down a £5,000 application from the Diamond Jubilee Committee.
Mr Clarke previously stated to Petersfield Town Council that he was prepared to meet the cost of the July celebrations if he could not cover the bill.
But he may have to stump up nearly a quarter of the £20,000 bill after the Arts Council rejected his bid due to a lack of information.
