POLICE have named the man who died following a crash on a country lane at Hartley Mauditt, near Alton, last week.

Rafal Zielinski, 40, of Parkside Road in Reading, Berkshire, was killed following the two-vehicle crash on Hartley Lane at 4.40pm on October 24.

A silver Vauxhall Corsa and a Peugeot Boxer van were travelling in opposite directions when they collided head-on.

Mr Zielinski, who was driving the Corsa, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the van and his passenger suffered minor injuries and were taken to North Hampshire Hospital at Basingstoke.

Officers are supporting Mr Zielinski’s family.
