The thousands of visitors who braved the weather were treated to the most spectacular arena display in the world – the musical drive of the King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery, galloping First World War gun carriages with split second timing in wagon wheel and scissor formations. The guns were fired, sending drifts of smoke across the grand arena in an unforgettable display. The biggest one-day annual agricultural show in the country featured an impressive array of beautifully presented farm animals competing for top honours, in addition to dazzling displays of show jumping and eventing, a food theatre, fun fair and myriad stalls.
